Perfect Pin UP Contest!!

Hey Ladies!, Have you ever thought you would make the perfect Pin Up but for some reason or another you haven't given MissL a call? Well it's your lucky day! MissLPhotography and creative team are giving away the last coveted Pin Up shoot for this Valentines day, to a lovely lady with the best pitch for why she would make the Perfect Pin Up! Hurry up and write three sentences telling us why we should pick you for a shoot at 4:30 on Sunday January 22! All submissions must be sent to MissLpinupcontest@gmail.com between 6 pm Friday 1/20 and 6 pm Saturday 1/21. Must have availability at scheduled time on Sunday 1/22. It's that time of year again! As we've seen since the day after Christmas, or even before in this crazy world of consumerism...Valentines Day is the next on the list of our excuse to celebrate something. Although I personally feel, Valentines day is a day that could and should be everyday, in essence of celebrating love, and honoring those in your life, we can take advantage of this day to give permission to ourselves and embrace the love that is there, or what could be, and really cut all of the other BS! I hope by offering this type of gift , you can see more into honoring yourself , and indulge in a little perk me up from the winter blues. Time is just a flyin!!! It's December already...it's actually been for over a week now. As time flies in the real world, it seems to even go faster in mine where publications seem WAY ahead of schedule! Finished an awesome cover shoot yesterday for Military Spouse Magazine. Not to rush it...but it will debut in February, equipt with flowers. Thought I'd share the last 2 covers I did for them...both November and December...

Between here and there, Zimmie slipped into my schedule to rock out some new press photos! Super fun day. Zimmie's look was classic, sporting killer Dita,Statesman frames from Heidi Optics. Black and white images began in my studio, briefed for a fantastic dinner at Bite Bistro. We completed with color and a few black and whites for an iconic look at my favorite retro attic. Equipped with vinyl, turntables and others wonderful furnishings, Sam hooked us up, thanks again! I love working with friends, and creatives...and even better, friends that are creatives! So much fun and so much room for play...

Donora across America..

I'm so stoked to not only see Pittsburgh as apart of this NYLON magazine spread;Bands Across America, but also so excited I got to be a part of it. I first heard of all the rage of Donora a few years back, and eventually photographed their amazing first, self titled album and press pics. Fast forward, after their release of their second, and brand new album,"Boyfriends,Girlfriends",and I was able to join them on set at a local favorite,Pageboy Boutique,while filming and capturing images for NYLON. The set looked great and I totally enjoyed listening and capturing the intimate event. They are just so damn good =) Had to share more pics, as there are many favorites.I particularly loved the softness and ambience of the color images, loved how they showcase the band and the store.

And...If you haven't already experienced Donora, I highly recommend! They're playing a set this Friday, the 18th, at the Brillobox, and again on Dec. 3rd. If you'd like a chance to catch them live, do so now! Donora is easy to love, easy to listen to, and the type of sound that manifests itself into your head, to which you will find yourself humming along, even hours after you've listened to them. Fun loving,and uber talented, these guys deserve all of the recognition they have received and I'm hopeful they will be receiving plenty more in the days to come. Lululemon Opens Showroom! My work with Lululemon!

Wow! I realize it has definitely been a moment since my last entry, and as I reflect on my life since my last post, I see there has been so much happening! It's just that sometimes it takes slowing down for a moment to really take it all in....or so it seems right now anyway. I am excited to share new projects on my horizon as they surface more publicly, and excited to make dreams flourish. As a creative, I take pride in sharing my visions with the world, meeting new people, being introduced to new walks of life, and developing new relationships with people and clients.The lifestyle of being a photographer can be quite fantastic! That said, my weekend started with a bang, as it was the opening of Pittsburghs,Lululemon Athletica Showroom in Shadyside.

Yoga has been a huge part of my life for the past few years. Practicing at Pratique,and Yoga Flow, as well as on my own, I find my mat is a place where I can go to ground myself, to quiet my mind. A place where I can go to just breathe. A place to go to push myself, and really live every moment as it is. I work on applying this way of being in my own life outside of my yoga mat as well. Creating an empowering context for life, in a way that drives me, makes me smile, and breath a bit more at ease. So it was mid August when Lululemon contacted me about photographing their local Pittsburgh Ambassadors, and I was beyond excited!! I've always admired them and their ethics, and there's nothing better than working with people that can easily pull out and emphasize the best of you. I spent two days all over the city with five amazing women photographing for the new showroom in Shadyside. From Phipps Conservatory, to riversides, to abandon places, I had so much fun getting to know the ambassadors as well as Lululemons local team!The store is BEAUTIFUL, and encompasses many wonderful things! Free yoga classes, workshops, and all kinds of great things happening! Do check it out! The Ambassador images caress the store walls in an impressive size,and as far as the clothing goes, I'll take one of everything in my size please =) Hopeful for the future to bring more work with Lululemon, and others just as unique and wonderful!

| Corsets, Cinchers and Garderbelts Oh My! |

It's been a long time coming! Nyxon and myself finally got a chance to align and alas, we have produced a killer set of pin up images with wardrobe provided by GirdleBound! Nyxon was more than a delight to work with, can't wait to do it again!

If you ever have the need for corsets, bullets, cinchers, vintage inspired pieces, or perhaps you just want to feel a little sexy or scandalous, look no further, girdlebound offers it all! I will definatley be keeping them in my contact list for future shoots, the wardrobe was way too perfect for my world of pin up.
